Ashwagandha
is one of the most prominent herbal preparations used
in Ayurveda. The root is used for medicine. All though
it is considered to be the primary tonic for men, women
in cases of general debility & pregnancy can safely
use it. It contains chemical constituents like alkaloids,
beta-sitosterol, chlorogenic acid, scopoletin, with
aferin etc. It helps to stabilize the fetus. It regenerates
the hormonal system, promotes healing of tissues. Clinical
studies show that ashwagandha has antibacterial, anti-tumor,
anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating properties.
